SCORES of the region's top runners were in Cleethorpes for Sunday's ABP Humber Coastal Half Marathon. Starting on the seafront, the 13.1-mile event wended through attractive post-harvest farmland scenery on the outskirts of the resort and in Humberston and Tetney before returning to where it started. The first three runners home were were Shane Robinson, of Lincoln Wellington running club, in a time of one hour 11 minutes and 40 seconds; William Strangeway, of the same club, in one hour 12 minutes and 50 seconds; Mark Sands, of Skegness, in one hours 13 minutes and 22 seconds. Below are some of the runners as they reached the nine-mile stage of the event which was excellently organised by Tape2Tape and sponsored by ports giant ABP.
