A CASINO could be one of the amenities within the hotel proposed as part of the ambitious project to refurbish the former Pleasure Island theme park in Cleethorpes.
This would be accommodated, along with conference facilities and no fewer than 148 bedrooms.
There could also be a garden centre with associated retail offerings as seen at premises such as Pennells and similar stores in other parts of the country.
Documents today shown to the Grimsby News identify the other features for the development as follows:
* Holiday accommodation comprising 31 eight-bed and 219 ten-bed lodges alongside a reception building
* An electric cycle rental building
* Two food and drink buildings
* Leisure building over two floors
* Lidl discount foodstore
* Petrol filling station and retail kiosk
* Drive-thru coffee shop
* Water sports building, comprising three refurbished shipping containers, to facilitate the use of the lake for non-motorised water sports
It is understood that a no-dogs policy is proposed for the development.
Boundary trees and shrubs will be retained but most of these within the site will need to be removed.
The partners in the development seeking to redevelop the former Pleasure Island are: Lidl GB Ltd, YPG FAB 2 Ltd, Seaside Getaways Ltd and Dewarsavile Enterprises Ltd.
A formal planning application to North East Lincolnshire Council has been delayed but is due be submitted early next year.
That will be the day, still waiting to see what we get at the old waves building on the pier slip way
