Is the demure female figure based on the former First Lady of  the United States, Michelle Obama?

A Grimsby News reader reckons there is a resemblance in facial beauty, slim figure, clothing and reflective demeanour.

 

We are not entirely convinced, especially as close scrutiny reveals that the only man in the picture  is definitely not her husband Barack. But who knows whom the artist had in mind? 

Meanwhile, don't those log slides look great fun?

But unsupervised,  would they survive their first 24 hours without being subject to arson or vandalism? 

Latest news on the Gardens revamp project is that North East Lincolnshire Council has not yet submitted a planning application, let alone obtained consent, but it has begun inviting interest from contractors who might wish to carry out the proposed works.  

Michelle Obama - perhaps she could be coaxed into visiting Cleethorpes with her husband, Barack. They would be made very welcome.
