Town of broken dreams? Sunday newspaper article paints dispiriting portrait of modern-day Grimsby

 

Grimsby was again in the spotlight today - with a huge double broadsheet-sized spread in the Sunday Telegraph. The in-depth article sought to explore the demise of the town since the collapse of the  trawling industry and to assess whether the glory days might return. Unfortunately, the article was illustrated with photographs depicting decay and dereliction. The article did not make for comfortable reading.
