The range of houses will be similar to those at Beal's Greenways development in Goole |
HOUSE builders Beal Homes have expressed delight after having been given the planning green light for a £105-million development on the outskirts of Immingham.
At a North East Lincolnshire Council planning meeting, councillors unanimously approved a scheme for 525 properties on a 57-acre greenfield site off Stallingborough Road.
The development will be known as Highfields.
Says the land director of Hessle-based Beal, Chris Murphy: "This will provide much-needed new two- three- and four-bedroom homes for a town which is playing a key role in the Humber’s growing status as a magnet for investment.
"We are delighted to have gained planning approval so we can move forward to delivering these much-needed homes in North East Lincolnshire.
"Our development will complement investment into the area from other blue chip businesses and underlines Beal’s commitment to economic development within the region.
“We would like to thank the members of NELC's planning committee who voted unanimously to approve the plans and were complimentary about the quality of the development as well as the amount of open space we have incorporated into it.
"This development is a major vote of confidence in the area which has a strong pent-up demand for new homes as well as potential for further growth, driven by major investment on the south bank of the Humber.
"As well as the new homes, there will be areas of public space including two equipped children’s play areas.
"Immingham is a close-knit community with a variety of amenities which makes it a desirable choice for families, couples, professionals and downsizers alike."
Beal's sales and marketing director Sue Waudby comments: "We are expecting demand to be extremely high, so we arere encouraging prospective homebuyers to register their interest now to ensure they are the first to know when these stunning homes are about to be launched."
