Weekend exhibition celebrates 150th birthday of Cleethorpes Pier |
THE life and times of Cleethorpes Pier will be celebrated with an exhibition that runs tomorrow (Friday) and on Saturday in the resort's town hall.
Opening times are 10am to 4pm.
Other heritage events being lined up in the coming weeks include:
*75 years of Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway: Free exhibition Open to the public now until October (except 11-17 September due to the Rail, Ale & Blues Festival event).
* Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre: discounted entry on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September, 10am to 4pm
* Tracks, Smacks and Sunhats Exhibition: Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre, Grimsby: from Friday 15 September, until the end of December 2023
Grimsby Town Hall and Time Trap museum: Free entry – Friday 15 and Saturday 16 September: 10am to 4pm. This will include displays by the Great Grimsby Family History Group, Grimsby Photographic Society, the North Lincs Art Society and the North East Lincolnshire Council’s Archives.
An Introduction to Researching Family History: Grimsby Town Hall. Friday 15 and Saturday 16 September, 10am to 4pm
Tours of the Grimsby Kasbah Conservation Area: Saturday 16 September, 10am to 4pm. Registration required.
Playing the Past – Lifting the Lid on the Caxton Theatre’s Archives, Costumes and Props: The Caxton Theatre. Sunday 10 September 11.00 – 16.00
Grim Falfest 2023: The Vikings are coming! Friday 8 to Sunday 10 September. Various locations across Grimsby Town Centre.
