What future Wilko's two stores in Grimsby? Will they suffer same fate of shop in Cleethorpes (above) that closed last year to the dismay of many of its customers? |
CLARIFICATION is still awaited on the future of two Wilko stores in Grimsby following the collapse of the household goods chain.
Neither the shop in Freeman Street nor the larger one in Bull Ring Lane are on the list of those earmarked for closure.
A competitor retail company, B&M, has been running the slide rule over the Wilko portfolio and has identified 51 that it is interested in acquiring as part of a £13-million deal, but these have not yet been named.
A list published today by administrators PricewaterhouseCoopers reveals the doomed shops.
