So long as you get the time and tide right, there are few better places better places in England to watch shorebirds than Cleethorpes. That's the opinion of this visitor from Sheffield who likes to combine two of his favourite seaside pursuits - paddling on the beach and birdwatching. From just 20 metres away or less, he was able to watch sanderling, redshank, ringed plover, oystercatcher and more. "It's a magical place," he beamed.
