GRIMSBY'S Top Town market will reopen fully later this month following easing of restrictions on lockdown.
Says a North East Lincolnshire Council statement: "The market will open back up to shoppers from Tuesday 16 June.
"The market has remained partly open throughout the lockdown selling essential items such as meat, vegetables, and fruit, with strict measures in place to ensure the safety of traders and customers.
"This included social distancing measures and additional cleaning procedures.
Strict measures will remain in place to continue to make sure all shoppers and traders are safe.
"These will include:
* The introduction of a one-way system with entry only from the Devonshire House entrance and exit to Victoria Street only
* Introduction of floor markers to ensure shoppers remain two metres apart and queuing arrangements with each trader
* Additional cleaning procedures
"From Monday 15 June, the food hall will also be reopened Monday to Saturday, 9am to 2pm.
"Access will be from Freshney Place on Monday and Wednesday and access from the Market Hall on other days.
"Top Town Market will continue to operate on its reduced opening hours and will be open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 9am and 2pm."

“The markets management team have been working tirelessly to make sure the market is COVID-19 secure, in line with guidance, and is now able to fully serve the community.
"The team and traders look forward to welcoming back their customers soon.”
The market is managed by North East Lincolnshire Council’s regeneration partner, Engie.
